SUN GE8200G GEPON Optical Network Unit
SUN Telecom GE8200G is an ONU (Optical Network Unit) designed for GEPON networks based on SUN GE8100 OLT series. This cost effective end-user device provide all necessary functions for modern FTTx deployments. GE8200 is equiped with one 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet interface. It supports 802.1q Vlans (access and transparent tagged frame forwarding) and IGMP Snooping function which is vital part of every modern IPTV application (SUN Telecom was tested with most popular IPTV systems in Poland). The Uplink, GEPON interface supports 1Gbps symetrical bandwidth. Every ONU is remotely managed from the OLT.
